Julian Powell, Founder



Julian Powell holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of New Hampshire, and is trained in the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), the federal law regulating hazardous waste management.

He has 25
years of experience in the electronics industry, working in manufacturing, quality control, wastewater treatment, air pollution control and hazardous waste management. His work in manufacturing spanned the globe, working extensively in Singapore, Korea, Israel, Taiwan, Japan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand and Germany.

  He formed Zentech in 1995 to address the need for safe disposal of toxic end-of-life electronic equipment.  He serves on the Chattahoochee Basin Advisory Council of the Metropolitan North Georgia Water Planning District, and advises the Hazardous Waste Division of the State of Georgia Environmental Protection Division and the Computer DIsposal and Recycling Council regarding e-waste issues.

Julian is also an active member of the Smart Energy Solutions Committee of the Georgia Sierra Club.
