Julian Powell, Founder

Julian Powell holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of New Hampshire, and is trained in the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), the federal law regulating hazardous waste management.

He has 40
 years of experience in the electronics industry, working in manufacturing, quality control, wastewater treatment, air pollution control and hazardous waste management. His work in manufacturing spanned the globe, working extensively in Singapore, Korea, Israel, Taiwan, Japan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand and Germany. He worked in the highest levels of the electronics industry, supporting supercomputer manufacturers worldwide and in the US Department of Defense Microelectronics Research Laboratory.

  He formed Zentech in 1995 to address the need for safe disposal of toxic end-of-life electronic equipment.  He serves on the Technical Coordinating Committee of the Metropolitan North Georgia Water Planning District, and has advised the Hazardous Waste Division of the State of Georgia Environmental Protection Division and the Computer Disposal and Recycling Council regarding e-waste issues.

 Julian was born in Wales, UK, and is a naturalized citizen of the United States.
