Neighborhood Recycling Event

Zentech is a pioneer in the computer and e-waste recycling business, opening the first computer recycling facility in Atlanta in 1995.

We are now offering Neighborhood Recycling Events customized to the needs of entire neighborhoods/subdivisions.  Enjoy significant savings over our individual household pickup service and help your neighborhood become part of the sustainability movement!

How It Works

On the selected day - usually Saturdays are most convenient - we will dispatch a truck and crew to a central location in your neighborhood.  During the event hours any resident can bring any quantity  of e-wastes to the collection point for no-charge disposal. The flat-rate cost of the event is based on the number of homes and is typically paid by the homeowners' association.  Surcharges for television disposal and optional services like software data destruction may be  paid by the individual resident or the association.

Materials accepted:

-computers, laptops, monitors, printers, battery backups (UPS's), scanners, faxes

-home audio/video equipment including VCR's, DVD players, stereo equipment, boom boxes, speakers etc

-small electronics including cell phones, PDA's, MP3 players, iPods, walkmans, mice, keyboards, wires, cables and rechargeable batteries.

-small appliances such as microwaves, toasters, blenders and coffee makers (NO glass  - only the plastic and metals are recyclable!), rechargeable appliances such as dustbusters, Rhoomba's.

Costs:

Event overhead:  $5 per household, minimum of $250
Television disposal:  $10 each, NO console TV's or projection TV's!
Data destruction/drive wiping:  $10 per computer.

As always, when you recycle with Zentech 95% of all materials are recycled, and no toxic materials are landfilled or exported to third world countries!
